Montréal label Voyage Funktastique is proud to present their first full-length offering, by way of Koolade’s “The Hop,” a 7-track project that takes an eclectic approach to dance music. Soulful chords, gospel-like progressions, and thumpy bass lines are held together over 4x4 beats, while the song titles are a reminder to keep dancing: “The Bop,” “The Hop,” “The Chop,” “The Drop,” “The Wop,” “The Swap,” and “The Pop.”

Koolade is a producer and beatmaker hailing from Croatia, who is known for his work with hip hop legends such as Masta Ace, Ghostface Killah, Masta Killa, Diamond D, Sadat X, Sean Price, and Tony Touch, to name a few. His sound combines future funk, alternative hip hop, lo fi and future beats, and has been supported by such renowned DJs and radio shows as Joe Kay of Soulection, Walla P of Voyage Funktastique, We Funk, and XL Middleton.

“The Hop” releases on Voyage Funktastique July 24th, 2020.
